Air Namibia to serve Accra

Air Namibia has announced plans to serve Accra, Ghana from its main operating base of Windhoek. The carrier will launch a new 3x weekly service, however the flight will be an extension of its current Windhoek-Johannesburg service with the extension from Johannesburg to Accra to be operated with B737-800 equipment. The new service will be inaugrated from November 20th with firm plans to increase the frequency to a 5x weekly rotation from january 1st 2010.

There is currently no schedule service from Windhoek to Accra, however South African Airways does operate a 3x weekly flight between JOhannesburg and Accra with A340 aircraft.
