Air Europa Announces Athens Link

Air Europa will begin a once weekly service from Barcelona to the Greek capital of Athens.

The new service will begin on July 4 on a seasonal basis until September 26.

Air Europa will compete on the route with Aegean Airlines, which operates a daily service and Spanish low-cost opeator Vueling, which also operates a daily sector.

From August 1 until September 26, the carrier will also serve Athens from Madrid Barajas, where it will compete with Aegean and Vueling, as well as Spanish flag carrier Iberia.
