Aer Lingus and United launch joint transatlantic initiative
Aer Lingus and United Airlines have said they will take advantage of the EU-US open skies agreement to launch a new joint transatlantic service.
The carriers will start joint flights between Washington Dulles and Madrid from April with more routes expected to be announced.
Aer Lingus and United launched code share services between Ireland and the US in October 2008 and have launched the new venture on the back of its successful traffic performance.
