3 long-haul routes for Lufthansa
From the end of March, Lufthansa will add three new long-haul destinations to its network: to Tashkent, Tehran and Miami, while Cairo will benefit from additional flights until 30th May.
There will be three-times weekly flights to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays using a 737-800 (operated by Swiss-based PrivatAir). A PrivatAir Boeing 737 will fly between Munich and Tehran (four-times weekly) and an A330 will depart from Munich three times weekly (on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) to Miami.
In addition, following lufthansa's launch of Munich-Cairo services last november (originally planned as a seasonal service for the winter timetable), Cairo will be served four times a week until the end of May (on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).
Thomas Klühr, Group Representative and Head of Hub Management Munich explained that the new routes form part of its "long-term expansion of the route network."
