Adelaide Airport - Connecting To Network Vision 2050

Adelaide Airport's passenger volumes soared to record high on the back of strong domestic demand and the continued recovery in the international market. For the 2024 Financial Year, Adelaide Airport celebrated more than 8.5 million passengers traveling through the terminal, an increase of 10% above the prior 2023 financial year and more than ten thousand passengers higher than 2019 financial year (pre-Covid).

In September 2024, Jetstar added a new unserved destination in our domestic network with the introduction of 3 per week return flights to Whitsunday Coast and over the coming months, Adelaide Airport will be welcoming the return of Emirates with daily flights from October 2024 and China Southern Airlines will be reinstating the Adelaide service with 3 per week return flights from December 2024. Singapore Airlines will be increasing from daily to 10 per week return flights and Air New Zealand will be increasing from 4 to 5 per week return flights from October 2024.

Adelaide Airport has set its target to connect to 39 non-stop international routes by 2050 (Network Vision 2050) and Adelaide Airport will seek to grow its international network to 14 international routes by 2030, 25 international routes by 2040 and 39 international routes by 2050.

The next immediate priorities would be to work on establishing the resumption of services to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific and working towards in establishing 4 new non-stop international routes by 2030 – Philippines, Japan, US and India.
