An Fighting Falcon it is not, but the IOMAX Archangel does have some avionics from this supersonic fighter.
Terma’s AN/ALQ-213(V) Electronic Warfare Management System (EWMS) was originally developed for the F-16 in close cooperation with the Royal Danish Air Force. When it became apparent that other aircraft could benefit from the system, it was modified for use by helicopters and transports – more than 2,000 airframes at last count.
ALQ-213 is hailed as the only system on the market that is independent of platform or subsystems suppliers and is able to control and integrate any combination of sensors and countermeasures systems on any type of aircraft and make these work as one system.
On the Archangel, this means a missile warning system and countermeasures dispensers for chaff and flares. Terma is exhibiting in Hall 3/E16.
