LAN Airlines has confirmed it will take some of the first aircraft to roll off Boeing’s 787 production line. The carrier, which had expected to take delivery of its first 787-8 in 2014 after a series of program delays, is now scheduled to start accepting the first of 10 widebodies in the first half of 2011, in line with the delivery schedule intended when LAN initially placed its order.
