Augusto Fantozzi, the state commissar who runs what remains of the old Alitalia, has accepted an offer worth €14.5 million made by the privately owned Alis company to acquire the former Alitalia Cargo. As part of the deal, Alis will acquire three MD-11Fs, which are to come along with an initial cadre of 15 former Alitalia pilots. The aircraft are to be based at Milam Malpensa Airport.
