NASA is canvassing industry for ideas on advanced “green” airliners that could enter service by 2025, with the goal of building a subscale, unmanned flight demonstrator that could fly in 2015. “The concepts must incorporate technologies enabling large, twin-aisle passenger aircraft to achieve ambitious environmental goals,” the agency says.
