Lufthansa is set to announce another airline partnership in the former Soviet Union. The carrier plans to enter a code-share agreement with Kazakhstan's Air Astana, with its base in Almaty. The two airlines already cooperate in the cargo sector. Astana operates only western aircraft and wants to grow its fleet from 18 aircraft to 34 by 2014.
