LAN Airlines confirms it will not be adding four Boeing 767-300ERs ordered in 2008 as a stopgap for delayed 787s. The carrier placed the order when delays to the Boeing 787 program pushed its delivery slots into 2014. However, last month LAN announced a deal with the U.S. airframer that gave the South American operator 10 delivery slots from the first half of 2011 through 2013 (DAILY, March 26).
