GOL Linhas AĂ©reas Inteligentes has contracted GE Aviation Systems to provide repair services and logistics support for its fleet of Boeing 737-700 and -800s.

With this five-year, OnPoint service agreement, GE Aviation will handle all General Electric parts on the aircraft including avionics, flight management, instruments and hydraulic systems.

“This is the first comprehensive OnPoint Services agreement covering systems on the Boeing 737 Next Generation,” says GE Aviation’s OnPoint General Manager John Jarczyk.

“GOL is a forward-looking aviation leader and they recognize the importance of advanced technology and maintenance services expertise for their 737NG fleet.”

At the end of 2010, GOL operated 110 737-700s and -800s.

This accord follows last month’s agreement between GE Aviation’s PBN Services to provide the Brazilian operator Required Navigation Performance flight procedure support on domestic routes.
