Eurocopter has delivered a fourth EC225 to China’s Ministry of Transport Rescue and Salvage Bureau for use in offshore search-and-rescue (SAR) missions. The latest delivery fulfills a contract that the Chinese agency signed in 2009 for two SAR EC225s, with the earlier rotorcraft having been delivered in June. In 2007 the ministry accepted two other SAR EC225s, which were used in a variety of SAR missions, including the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. A total of 10 EC225 now are flying in China.
