The U.S. Transportation Dept. for the second time in five months has fined United for breaching ticket price disclosure rules. In a statement issued Jan. 15, DOT noted that United for 60 hours failed to include a 7.5% federal excise tax in fares in the initial search results page of its Web Site, an error that will cost the airline $30,000.
