Boeing has completed installation of the General Electric GEnx-2B engines on the first 747-8 Freighter and is running through rudder proof tests prior to the installation of the tail on the second aircraft in line. The first aircraft, RC501, is completing final assembly and is expected to be rolled into the paint hangar and judged “factory complete” in October.
