Mesa Air’s future could be decided by US Airways, which is contemplating what to do with the regional carrier’s contract after it expires in the summer of 2012. “We either need to replace those airplanes with new airplanes from someone else or extend that [Mesa] deal for a longer period of time,” says US Airways, adding, “This will probably be resolved in the next few months.”
