Austrian Airlines is evaluating the renewal of its long-haul fleet, CEO Vagn Soerensen told The DAILY last week at the IATA Annual General Meeting in Tokyo, and is looking at ordering the Boeing 787 or the Airbus A350. Austrian's current long-haul fleet consists of Airbus A330s and A340s, as well as Boeing 767s and 777s it inherited from Lauda Air. Soerensen said he would like to focus on a single airplane type, rather than operating a mixed fleet. -JF
