Although Airbus is seeing improvements in yields among its airline customers and is ramping up narrowbody production at the end of the year, CEO Louis Gallois is still cautious about order intake, not just for this year but also next. “I don’t see the full recovery of the market in 2011,” he cautions. With Airbus boosting output and deliveries to surpass 500 units next year, the aircraft maker will likely suffer another year of lower order intake than deliveries even in 2011.
