Air Berlin is trying to persuade its future partners in the Oneworld alliance to move long-haul services from Frankfurt to Berlin. “We will never be able to build up a hub in Frankfurt in competition with Lufthansa,” the carrier’s CEO Joachim Hunold told Aviation Week on the sidelines of the S7 Airlines joining event in Moscow.
