FAA, wrapping up a 15-year effort to improve runway safety areas, has formally kicked off its next airfield safety initiative—reducing incursions by focusing on problem areas. The Runway Incursion Mitigation (RIM) program will target spots on airfields that FAA analysis shows present the highest risk.
