Philae's Landing, as Envisioned by Mission Planners

This video illustrates how ESA's Philae probe was supposed to deploy and land on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko Nov. 12. Although the historic touchdown turned out to be trickier than expected, the video shows how the probe's thrusters, landing gear and harpoons were designed to work in concert, as well as the science missions Philae was to conduct post-landing.
