Volaris Capacity Growth In Line With Analysts’ Expectations

Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris said that June capacity outstripped traffic, but the carrier also reported a strong increase in the number of onboard passengers compared with last year. Volaris reported traffic, measured in revenue passenger-miles (RPM), rose 11% from June 2013. Broken down into international and domestic, Volaris reported a 23% rise in international traffic and a 7% rise in domestic traffic. Capacity, measured in available seat-miles (ASM), rose 12% system-wide, 9% domestic and 22% international.
