Video: Sikorsky's S-76D Helicopter

RSS

Next week's Aviation Week & Space Technology cover features Sikorsky's new S-76D helicopter. Douglas Nelms, in his in-depth pilot report, says the integrated glass cockpit makes flying this latest model a matter of pushing buttons.

Almost all of the avionics on the S-76D are from Thales, and the TopDeck avionics suite has a "click to fly" concept, which according to Thales, has never before been used on a helicopter.

Digital subscribers can read it first on tablet devices from 6pm EST.

Here, you can watch our video which provides more background on the S-76 family. You can also see the S-76D in flight.
