GEnx MRO network expands as production accelerates

The GEnx engine network of overhaul facilities is expanding due to engine production acceleration. GE Aviation announced a GE-branded service agreement with Air-France-KLM for maintenance, repair and overhaul of the GEnx-1B and a new joint venture with Evergreen Aviation Technologies that will provide MRO services for both the GEnx-1B and -2B.

Phase 1 of Flying Colours facility expansion is complete

The refurbishment and maintenance specialists company Flying Colours has completed the first of a three-phase expansion plan at their headquarters in Peterborough, Ontario.  This 20,000 sq. ft. extension to an existing hangar was completed in April and already houses different projects including an extensive corporate shuttle program that has converted six Bombardier CRJ 200 regional airliners into a 16-business class configuration.
