Airframe Details for Transasia Airways Flight GE235

The Transasia ATR 72-600 involved in today's accident carried tail number B-22816 and airframe serial number 1141. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW127M engines, it first flew on March 28, 2014, and was delivered to Transaia Airways on April 14, 2014.
 
According to Aviation Week Intelligence Network's Fleet Database, this is the 25th hull loss for the ATR 72. Four of these hull losses were accidents involving Transasia with the last accident having taken place on July 23, 2014.
 
Prior to the accident, Transasia Airways had a fleet of 11 ATR 72s with 5 more on order. Transasia Airways also operates a fleet of 5 A320s, 4 A321s, and 2 A330-300s.
