LONDON—The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has granted Norwegian Air Sweden (NSE) permission to operate flights to and from the U.S. The carrier said Feb. 14 that the move was an initial step towards starting long-haul flights with Norwegian’s Swedish subsidiary to the U.S.; it also has plans for Far East services originating in Sweden.
