FRANKFURT—Lufthansa’s low-fare affiliate Eurowings is opening a second base for long-haul flights in Munich, the network carrier’s second-largest hub. Eurowings will base three Airbus A330-200s, which currently reside at Cologne Bonn Airport, in Munich. It will open markets that Lufthansa does not see itself offering  because of its high cost structure.
