Rockwell Collins is expanding its inflight entertainment business by acquiring Sony Trans Com. The combined businesses are expected to generate revenues of more than $500 million a year by 2001, said Clay Jones, president of Rockwell Collins. "Our recently announced In Flight Network joint venture with News Corp. enhances our ability to address customers' content requirements," he said.
