CREW IN FATAL CITATION CRASH WAS ATTEMPTING TO ABORT LANDING AT CARLSBAD

The crew of a Citation business jet that crashed in California last month apparently was trying to abort the landing attempt and came close to executing a successful touch-and-go (BA, Jan. 30/46), but was unable to avoid an FAA localizer structure at the end of the runway. See article below.
