Doc’s Friends, the Wichita group restoring a vintage B-29 Superfortress to flyable condition, has met its Kickstarter campaign goal to raise money to get the aircraft, known as “Doc” through flight testing. It surpassed its $137,500 goal. The campaign raised $159,151. Volunteers have put in 300,000 hr. to date. Work began 17 years ago. The aircraft was part of a squadron of B-29s known as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
