L-3 Communications' Space & Navigation Div. 

L-3 Communications' Space & Navigation Div. has been awarded a $14-million contract by Boeing for the Delta launch vehicle avionics program. Through April 2008, L-3 S&N will manage design, production, testing and delivery of a total of 566 units in 10 different part types.

Snecma Morocco Engine Services 

Snecma Morocco Engine Services is expanding its Casablanca airport repair and overhaul facilities to serve customer airlines based in the region. SMES is a joint venture of Royal Air Maroc and Snecma Services.

BarcoLeyard 

BarcoLeyard, a joint venture of Belgium-based Barco and Beijink Leyard Electronics, has sold multiple LED display solutions in China, including a signage network for the Guangzhou airport.

SaabTech 

SaabTech has won a $2.2-million contract for adaptation and flight trials of the BOL countermeasures dispensing system for the Royal Australian Air Force's F/A-18 Hornets.

Boeing 

Boeing has selected Goodrich Corp. to supply the main landing gear for a follow-on order of F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft. The contract is valued up to $80 million from 2006-11. Also, Goodrich has contracted with BAE Systems to provide the ice detection system for conventional, carrier and short take-off vertical landing versions of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The French air force 

The French air force has selected Switzerland's Elite Simulation Solutions to supply PC-based training systems.

Lufthansa Technik 

Lufthansa Technik will maintain two Airbus A320 twinjets for Spanish startup Vueling Airlines. Vueling plans to add six A320s in the next few months.

Air France Industries and Lufthansa Technik 

Air France Industries and Lufthansa Technik have formed a joint venture to seek third-party customers for the maintenance of Airbus A380s. The two parent airlines have ordered a total of 25 A380s.

Curtiss-Wright Corp. 

Curtiss-Wright Corp. has received a $6.3-million contract from Lockheed Martin to supply radar warning receiver systems for U.S. Army helicopters. The contract has a potential value of $17.6 million, including additional options during the next two years.

Akron, Ohio-based Castle Aviation 

Akron, Ohio-based Castle Aviation is the launch customer for the all-cargo Saab 340 twin turboprop. The conversion kit was recently developed by Saab Aircraft Leasing.

Singapore's Aviation and Electronics Support 

Singapore's Aviation and Electronics Support will represent France's Elta Electronics in the Pacific Rim, under an agreement covering Elta's product range of aircraft distress beacons.

Armor Holdings Aerospace & Defense Group and EADS Sogerma Services 

Armor Holdings Aerospace & Defense Group and EADS Sogerma Services have concluded a business partnership covering aircraft armor protection and flight crew seats.

Ibis Aerospace 

Ibis Aerospace has selected Honeywell to supply the Ae-270 utility aircraft's digital flight control and integrated avionics systems.

U.S. Air Force 

The U.S. Air Force has placed an order with MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates valued at up to $5.7 million for the development of capabilities for a flight path safety system designed by MDA's Information Systems group.

CMC Electronics 

Canada's CMC Electronics will supply GPS-based flight management systems to equip 20 Brazilian air force transport aircraft.
