These measures are probably helping volume or orders, but the companies that make business aircraft are still dealing with a market that was once an astounding opportunity but has run into the brick wall of the anti-graft campaign crackdown.

Airbus Helicopters Selects Airbus Marketing Chief To Lead Division

Chris Emerson, senior vice president and head of marketing with Airbus in Toulouse, France, has been appointed president and CEO of Airbus Helicopters, effective June. 1. In his role, Emerson will lead Airbus Helicopters North America Region. Emerson will replace Marc Paganini, who has accepted a position as Airbus Group’s head of special projects. Paganini had served as head of Airbus Helicopters, based in Grand Prairie, Texas, since January 2003.

JetAviation Basel Develops EASA STC For TCAS II Upgrade

Jet Aviation Basel, based in Switzerland, recently developed a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificate for its Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System, or TCAS II, version 7.1 upgrade. TCAS II provides vertical rate "Resolution Advisories" to pilots, informing them when and how to adjust their vertical speed in order to avoid collisions.
