I'll say this once again. The last good P&W engine was JT8. All other are lemons.
I don't understand why, having the choice of opting for the LEAP, some airlines go for the GTF.
Who wants to fly across the Atlantic, for example, at Mach.78 in a narrowbody? I don't! In Winter with bad weather in the East Coast and strong headwinds it will have to refuel...
Is this some kind of joke?
Well, what can one expect? It's P&W. They haven't built a decent large engine since the JTD 8. They should stick to P&W Canada and build PT6s.
