This increase in OEW over the 300 might start to be a problem for the efficiency of the aircraft... Even with the larger span.
Airbus is not going out of business any time soon, regardless of how much of a failure people may think the 380 is it doesn't seem to have had all that huge of an impact on Airbus as a company.
