Hawker Pacific Pty, the Australia-based international integrated civil and military aerospace sales and maintenance group, operates authorized service centers and sales representation for , Lycoming and Beechcraft.
Of the recent Textron takeover of Beechcraft, CEO Alan Smith says, “I think strategically it’s a very sound move by Textron, as the King Air adds a very viable line to its products. We’ve already got a strong relationship with Textron through our Bell Helicopter and Lycoming relationships, so from our perspective we’ll continue doing what we do well and continue selling King Airs.
Last year was quite a tough aircraft sales year for most people, but 2014 is already quite strong, with five firm orders for King Air 350s and we’ve got some good potential orders for Bell in the Middle East. At least three of the King Airs are special missions aircraft. We also do a lot of business on Barons and Bonanzas.”
In a good year Hawker Pacific (Booth CD31) sells between 45-70 new and used fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. The company is also a Diamond Aircraft distributor and is currently working on a number of flight school fleet deals that are mainly focused on the Diamond’s DA-42 twin. These, and sales of the Mahindra Aerospace GippsAero GA8 Airvan utility aircraft, form part of the company’s annual sales total.
