The cabinet of the Dutch government has agreed to make Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) transport aircraft available to support French Operation Serval in Mali. This was in response to a French request through the European Air Transport Command in Eindhoven for air transport capacity for logistics purposes.

The cabinet decision allows for flights to countries bordering Mali but not to Mali itself. The first flight is expected soon.
The RNLAF has two KDC-10s and one DC-10 (334 Squadron) and four C-130Hs (336 Squadron) based in Eindhoven.
