After a strong start, CRJ1000 deliveries appears to be slowing down.
Air Nostrum ordered 35 of the type, but took delivery of only 10 between December 2010 and February 2012. It has 25 left on order, but appears not to have the appetite to take delivery of any more in the near term.
Brit Air has taken delivery of 13 of the 14 it ordered, but its last delivery was in March 2012.
Garuda Indonesia took delivery of five CRJ1000s between October and December 2012, directly from Bombardier and through lessor Nordic Aviation Capital. Garuda plans to take delivery of 13 more but none have been delivered since December.
Bombardier has managed to deliver only one CRJ in 2013 so far, a CRJ900 to China Express Airlines.
Delta's recent order for 40 CRJ900s, however, is expected to take up the slack and keep the CRJ backlog healthy until CSeries deliveries begin next year.
