Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras welcomed 140 new employees to is company today at its one-day indoctrination class. This auditorium in UniAzul, its new training facility near Viracopos-Campinas Airport in southeastern Brazil, is where new employees are taught about the airline's values, goals and policies.
This group of 140 includes 15 dispatchers, 28 flight attendants, 35 mechanics, cargo and administration staff. Each group will also receive additional training specific to their jobs.
For instance, the maintenance staff take a one-day class on special procedures (such as RVSM and RNP), a 10-day maintenance class, a 16-day ramp and transit course, as well as a 3-night practical ramp class.
UniAzul, which celebrated its grand opening in October, is a 6,000 sq. meter facility that includes 15 classrooms, four full-flight simulators, a cafeteria and more.

The staff whom I met came from both Trip and Azul, and all agreed that bringing employees together in this modern facility offers training synergies and unites people across different backgrounds.
The picture below is a wall of employee quotes. What a great idea!
