Protecting our Critical Infrastructures

“Today, technology allows Americans to reach across the globe and communicate with family and friends, customers and colleagues, in distant locations. With this freedom, however, comes heightened responsibility. My Administration is committed to treating our digital infrastructure as a strategic national asset. Protecting this infrastructure is a national security priority, and in the process, we will ensure that these networks are comprehensive, trustworthy, and resilient. Together, we will create a more secure America, where technology can evolve in a protected and productive environment.”

President Barack Obama,
United States of America,
2009 National Cybersecurity Awareness Month Proclamation

With today’s technology advancements, reliable and immediate information access has become an expectation. Companies and organizations, across the globe and in all industries, operate in cyberspace for all their core processes, such as service delivery, customer interaction, supply chain management, intellectual property storage and much more.

In 2007, major federal agencies, such as the Department of Defense, NASA and TSA, all suffered major cyber intrusions by unknown foreign entities. Ineffective cybersecurity and attacks on foundational infrastructures in an increasingly competitive international environment puts the nation at high risk.

“The defense of Cyberspace has begun to take on international urgency as critical infrastructures have been successfully attacked.”

John Osterholz, VP Integrated Cyber Warfare and Security, BAE Systems; and NCOIC Technical Council Chair

As we stand at the threshold to a network-enabled future, how do we prevent exposure and vulnerability to cyber-attacks on our critical infrastructures?

In this compelling webinar, you will learn how to:

  • Identify critical infrastructure protection challenges
  • Define and understand the rapidly changing nature of cyber threats
  • Measure the level of your cyber-protection - How do you know you’re staying ahead?
  • Analyze security metrics for assessing enterprise risk, fixing vulnerabilities and strengthening configuration weaknesses
