India has once again asked the Italian government to probe alleged irregularities in a contract for 12 helicopters from AgustaWestland. The Italian defense firm has denied the allegations. India signed a 35.46 billion rupee ($720 million) contract with the company in February 2010 for 12 AW101 helicopters, mainly to be used by the president, prime minister and other top government officials.
