Airbus Military has begun a series of water drop trials from its prototype C295 as it looks for new roles for the twin-engined transport. The company undertook the first trials in mid-October at a site near Cordoba, Spain, dropping water from holes cut out of the aircraft’s belly, with the water stored in tanks in the cargo bay.
