ST Aerospace has become the inaugural MRO service provider for UTC Aerospace Systems’ nacelles on the Boeing 787.

UTC Aerospace Systems, the company formed last year by the combination of Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, makes the nacelles for both the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 and General Electric GEnx engines on the 787.

The agreement follows a similar MRO agreement between UTC Aerospace Systems and ST Aero to provide nose-to-tail support for the electrical and air management system components that it supplies on the 787. That deal, announced on June 17, officially made ST Aerospace part of UTC Aerospace Systems’ 787 MRO supplier network.
