Thomas Cook Group selected Rockwell Collins’ radio sensors and avionics, including MultiScan Threat Detection System and GLU-925 Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR), for its new Airbus A320 and A321 fleet.

Rockwell Collins and Thomas Cook Group commemorated the agreement yesterday with a signing ceremony here at Farnborough.

“Airlines need to take crucial avionic equipment decisions to be compliant with the new CNS standards and at the same time enhance their flight operation procedures to further improve their operational efficiency,” said Bernd Bechtel, EVP of group fleet management for Thomas Cook.

Bechtel added, “Rockwell Collins avionics solution offers technology which delivers the required compliance, with growth potential where operators are becoming capable to further develop their operational procedures, ultimately resulting in more efficient operations.”
