Hawker Pacific, the largest independent aviation sales and product support organization of its type in Australasia, will open its new $11.2 million business aviation FBO and MRO complex at Seletar Aerospace Park.

The three-hangar facility has a total floor area of 9,400 sq. meters encompassing a business aircraft MRO, hangar and paint shop. Administration staff moved in during December, and the MRO is in the process of moving from its old Seletar facility. The state-of-the-art paint shop will be the last unit to go operational after fitting-out in late March or April.

“The additional space will be far more efficient for our MRO operation,” says Alan Smith, Hawker Pacific’s Sydney-based CEO. “We already have a full workload card, showing there’s plenty of pent-up demand here.” The facility is a service center for Hawker Beechcraft, Dassault Falcon Jet and Embraer Executive Jets, and will have some Bombardier capability as well.

The purpose-built aircraft sales, support and FBO facility at Seletar officially opens on Feb. 15.

“It is the culmination of a 35-year presence and development in Singapore and builds on the launch of our Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre in March 2010. Hawker Pacific continues to strengthen our geographical base and diverse portfolio, setting up a stable platform to continue significant strides in the Asian market. We’re not sitting still,” says Smith.
