The U.S. House late Dec. 11 voted 219-206 for a $1.1 trillion spending bill that would, in addition to other measures, provide the FAA with $15.73 billion through the balance of the fiscal year, ending Sept. 30, 2015.
As of Dec. 12, the bill still required Senate approval. The White House supports the legislation.
Among the highlights:
• Contract towers are funded at $144.5 million, including $9.5 million for cost-sharing programs. It limits local cost sharing to 20%....More
