Will Qatar Convert To The Boeing 787-10X?


Last week Guy Norris exclusively reported that Boeing has begun formal discussions with airlines on the development of the 787-10X, following provisional board approval.

At Monday's delivery ceremony of the first Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 here in Seattle, Boeing Commercial Aircraft president Ray Conner told reporters he is talking to Qatar about the double-stretch derivative. The airline's CEO, Akbar Al Baker, responded positively, adding that he still has the flexibility to change the type (the airline has 30 787-8s on firm order and options for 30 more).
