Top 10 MRO Outtakes, Part 2

As promised on June 25, here are a few other interesting nuggets that I ran out of space to include in my Top 10 Airframe MRO article:

* Aviation Technical Services, which announced last week that President and CEO Matt Yerbic and several investors purchased the MRO from Macquaire Group, plans to grow its airframe and component maintenance capabilities over the next 1-2 years, as well as add manufacturing and engineering services.

El Al Tech performed 27 heavy checks and 1,900 hours of third-party line maintenance activity in 2012.

Flightstar Aircraft Services hopes to gain more mainline carrier heavy maintenance in the next few years.

* HAECO sold 2.96 million man-hours in Hong Kong and TAECO sold 3.42 million in Xiamen, China.
