Top 10 MRO Article Finished! #AvMRO

RSS

I just finished writing the AW&ST MRO Edition's biennial Top 10 Airframe MRO article, which will appear in our June 24 issue--and frankly, my head is spinning. Digesting what airline and independent MROs around the world are doing--from numerical, financial, capability and capacity perspectives--and ranking them, is no small project.

No, I won't tell you in advance who's on the list (yes, several of you have tried to pry it out of me)--but to hold you over until June 24, here are the top 2 from our June 2011 survey, which analyzed 2010 airframe maintenance man-hours.

1. Singapore Technologies Aerospace: 8.78 million airframe maintenance man-hours

2. Haeco Group (Haeco/Taeco/Staeco): 6.02 million man-hours

Do you think they'll remain the top two, in that order?

Okay, okay, I'll mention one thing: you're right: Aveos' abrupt bankruptcy, which we've covered in this space, left a big hole, so there's at least one new entrant in the 2013 survey.
