Southwest Union's Political Ad (Sort Of)

RSS

Southwest's ground workers' made a prominent appearance in an ad by Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), that debuted last week during a Baltimore Orioles playoff game. In the ad, Cardin wears a Transport Workers Union hat and works side-by-side with TWU Local 555 members unloading baggage from a Southwest flight at BWI. An interesting side note: a union spokesman says Southwest couldn't tie up a plane to film the spot, so Cardin actually was unloading passenger bags.

You can catch the spot here.
