Photos: Qatar Airways 787 Take Off From Boeing Field

RSS

I'm on board the first Qatar Airways 787 delivery flight from Seattle's Boeing Field to Doha. I'm currently typing this from somewhere over Greenland.

Qatar Airways is the first operator to provide wireless connectivity (through OnAir and Thales) on the Boeing 787 (this aircraft is A7-BCB), and I'm taking advantage of that by bringing you these photos. Joe Walker snapped them from the ground as I departed Boeing Field on Tuesday.

I've been tweeting since we got airborne, and in doing so, I gained the honour of being the very first person to tweet from an airborne Boeing 787 (thanks to WSJ's Jon Ostrower for pointing this out).

You can follow my updates and photos from the flight at @AvWeekRupa.
